At UI Baby, there are three of us working behind the scenes: Melissa, Shiray, and Wen Jin. Born and raised in Malaysia, we each come from very different backgrounds… and yes, different age groups too, though some of us aren’t keen on admitting that! :)

We like to think our differences are our greatest strength. They give us a mix of perspectives, ideas, and approaches that shape everything we do; from choosing the softest, safest fabrics to designing clothes that babies actually love to wear.

One of us is a parent, a truly stellar one, who knows firsthand how challenging it can be to find clothes that are safe, comfortable, and free from harsh chemicals. The other two? Just young adults with big dreams, passionate about making a difference in the world of baby clothing.

Despite our differences, we share one mission: to keep your little ones safe, healthy, and happy by providing the healthiest clothes for your baby. Because at the end of the day, every baby deserves clothing that’s gentle, safe, and made with love.

A message from our co-founder Melissa:

"As a mom of two beautiful daughters, I know the deep worry that comes when you want the very best for your child, and you’re unsure if what you’re giving them is truly safe.

Both of my daughters suffered from severe eczema when they were little. I tried everything: detergents, lotions, even special fabrics, but nothing seemed to help. That’s when I realized the clothes themselves could be part of the problem. Even ‘organic’ options often contain harsh, synthetic dyes that can irritate delicate skin and cause hidden health issues.

That realization set me on a mission: to create truly safe, 100% organic clothing dyed only with natural plant-based colors, so babies can be comfortable, healthy, and cared for, without compromise.

I may not have been able to provide this for my daughters back then, but now, I’m committed to helping parents facing the same struggles give their little ones the healthiest start possible."
